TranslaStars – Master AI Translation & Localization in Life Sciences

I’m deeply excited to be joining the tutor team for this advanced TranslaStars program, designed to empower translators working in the life sciences field to grow their skills, confidence, and impact. As part of the Master AI Translation & Localization in Life Sciences course, I’ll be teaching three focused lessons combining real clinical insight with practical translation strategies – especially for those working in oncology and patient-centered communication.
Lesson 1: Translating and Writing for Patients – The Human Side of Medical Language
Communicating with patients requires more than accuracy – it takes clarity, care, and deep empathy. In this two-part session, we’ll explore what it truly means to write and translate for patients, not just about them. You’ll learn how to adjust tone and structure for real-life readability, how to simplify without oversimplifying, and how to ensure your work remains respectful, inclusive, and emotionally aware.
