About Me
Born and raised in Eastern Germany, I was always curious about the world beyond. So, as soon as I finished my medical assistant studies, my husband and I decided in 2007 to travel. We lived for two years in Oceania, where I had the opportunity to really develop my English skills while working in nursing homes in New Zealand and Australia. In preparation for this, I had already studied medical English back home in Germany. I was all set and enjoyed using my language skills even then.
After a few years of travelling, my husband and I settled in Southern Germany, where I fully focused on my medical career and my growing family. I had the opportunity to work in various hospitals and private practices, attending numerous workshops and further studies to expand my medical experience and knowledge. Thanks to these experiences, I have gained a vast repertoire of medical expertise and terms.
In 2022, my family and I decided to leave Germany and move to Sweden. When I discovered how easily I could pick up Swedish, I decided to pursue my dream of being self-employed and started my own business as a linguist. I completed a translator course and got started. This course allowed me to learn a lot about translating, but also about the business side of being a freelance linguist. For me, gaining knowledge is like an addiction. I can never stop learning, reading, and broadening my horizons. This has always been so and always will be.
Privately, I am a proud mother of three children, one dog and two cats ☺️, and for almost 20 years, a wife to a wonderful husband. I greatly enjoy being out in nature and enjoying life as much as possible. I have many interests, which makes my job even more enjoyable, as I love to read and write about all kinds of things.
